After a strong start at the National Museum, Cardiff, Wales in 2007, S2K2008 will be moving to the breathtaking City Hall to consolidate its position as Europe's leading independent semiconductor event by presenting a strong line up for this years event.

Support from The Welsh Electronics Forum and the Welsh Assembly Government will continue and many of the key sponsors have decided to continue supporting the event, in a strong show of support.

This year S2K have another superb line up of speakers who will be outlining their views on the latest technological and commercial trend, as well as papers on shaping technological advancement through collaboration. In reflection of the current times, the theme of the conference will be 'shaping technological advancement through collaboration'.

S2K 2008 will highlight the challenges and opportunities associated with the development of tomorrow’s technologies. The introduction of a Plastic Electronics workshop hosted by the UKDL highlights S2K's dedication in supporting and embracing new and exciting sectors within the industry and creating opportunities for our delegates to become more involved.

The event will offer the opportunity of a table top exhibition, a key feature of the S2Kconference , providing exhibitors with the opportunity to display their products and services in an environment that is conducive to creating business through networking with the conference delegates and international guests.

A new addition to this years event will be a facilitated debate on how the innovation presented and developed in Europe can best be leveraged to provide long term sustainable revenue.

S2K will continue with its ever popular Golf challenge which is to be held at the Parc Golf Club on Thursday 8th May. The golf challenge is hugely popular and always pulls in an excellent number of players of all levels.  Prizes for the golf will be awarded Pre conference dinner, to be held on the evening of the 8th May.

The Drinks reception will be held in the beautiful main hall of the City Hall, where delegates will be networking in the exhibitor area over canapes, sparkling wine and live Jazz. This enjoyable start to the evening will guide you into the Awards Dinner where you will be treated to a wonderful three course meal, the Awards ceremony and Charity raffle.

The 2- day event will bring together engineers and leading industry figures in the technology development chain to network and exchange business opportunities.
